Things I See While On Break

Just started a new job right around the corner from the deeply fabulous 5th Avenue, prime spot for the best designer and global labels, and an area that has endless shopping temptation. I’m all too familiar with this neighborhood since I attended LIM College majoring in, yes you guessed it, Fashion Merchandising. So here are a few of the things that caught my attention during my lunch break on a sunny Friday afternoon.

I always like to check out the windows at Saks Fifth Avenue to get inspired by some of the latest high end designer styles. Yesterday I spotted a display devoted to  Christian Louboutin. I’m abssolutly coveting a pair of Louboutin heels.

Zara’s brand new global flagship store just opened a couple of weeks ago with a high volume of shopper traffic, and possibly the sleekest most sophisticated of all the Zara shops I’ve seen to date. The store is filled with chic and on trend women’s fashions, and even offers men’s and children’s apparel. This Zara truly has something for anyone.

A busy afternoon is simply not complete without a caffeine fix. I stopped by the uber chic and modern Macchiato Espresso Bar for the perfect little pick me up.

After lunch I even caught a glimpse of a Gossip Girl filming. Too bad I couldn’t get close enough to get a decent picture. Hopefully there’ll be another time.
